Dear BSB Community & all U14 Volleyball Participants for Nord Anglia Schools and Non-Nord Anglia Schools,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome in addition to BSB Shunyi (BSBSY) other participating Nord Anglia Education (NAE) China region schools, The British International School of Shanghai, Puxi (BISSPX), The Nord Anglia International School of Hong Kong (NAISHK), as well as our two non-NAE Beijing schools, The International School of Beijing (ISB), and The Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) to the Nord Anglia Global Games China 2018, U14 Volleyball Championships (NAGGC). Special thanks again to ISB and WAB for rounding out our first ever Nord Anglia U14 Volleyball Tournament.

Nord Anglia Education is the world’s leading premium schools organization with over 49,000 students, 54 total schools, spanning 24 countries. Through our Nord Anglia Global Games Sport Competitions, within the China region, we desire to bring other NAE students, coaches and parents, together, under the context of competitive sport. It has been my experiences, that through sport, and competitions such as this, many key relationships can build and develop, some of which may last your entire lifetime. As I always express to our teams and students every year, take advantage of these opportunities as there are so few of them available and something very unique you will remember your whole life.

Like so many things at BSB I just want to say a big THANK YOU to the PE/Sport Department who all of you will see throughout the Tournament either managing the action on the courts or helping to supervise the activities scheduled in the evening. Also our marketing team has done a fabulous job making the BSB truly in the spirit of the Nord Anglia Global Games. Special thanks to Brenda Leung, Jessie Xu, Amy Shi, & Nicole Washko for their added and continued efforts on the marketing & communication side. Finally, I wanted to thank Nord Anglia Education, BSB’s students, teachers, and school leadership as without all of them we would not be able to do so many of the things we do at the level we do.

Good luck to all teams and I look forward to a great Tournament as well as all the experiences that go with Nord Anglia sporting events. Feel free to come and speak to me at any time or any member of the BSB team as it is our pleasure to host these Global Games. But above all, have fun, play hard and enjoy your time at BSB and in Beijing over the course of the Tournament.
